Bishop Demetrius D. Griffin is a man that defines himself as a servant no more no less.
Bishop Griffin was called into the Ministry by God, December 11, 2005 and has been striving to please God since the day he began serving. Blessed under the wings of his parents, Pastor Frederick and Evangelist Cynthia Kirkland, he received his training.
He served as a Youth Minister & Director for five years with his wife, Elect Lady Tabitha Griffin. Bishop Demetrius Griffin faithfully impacted the youth through Bible Studies, Vacation Bible School, and other events, such as, “Hallelujah Night” & “Let’s Talk about It”. Griffin understands and teaches the people of God that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.
Griffin now brings that same strength and tenacity to Hatchett Springs Worship Center in Goodwater, Alabama where he equips the people of God, with the Word of God, for the Work of God. Bishop Griffin was consecrated a Bishop in the Lord’s Church on October 21, 2017 in Marietta, Georgia by Chief Apostle/Presiding Bishop Michael L. Favors. Bishop Griffin later founded Poverty to Progression Inc, which was established July 27, 2019.
Bishop Griffin’s educational training comes from Samford University where he received certificates for biblical courses, Central Alabama Community College where he received associates degree in Occupational Technology, and Faulkner University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies.
In addition to these accomplishments, Bishop Griffin has also authored his first book entitled, My Marriage is Not for Sale. In the book, Griffin mesmerizes his readers with the simplicity of the gospel, explaining the importance of the husband and wife becoming one flesh to prevent forfeiting their marriage and allowing it to be sold to the adversary (Satan). By activating the principles given in his book, couples can declare their marriage is NOT FOR SALE.
All in all, Bishop Griffin is an author, pastor, mentor, and a family man. Griffin accredits his wife and kids for his drive for ministry; they are his biggest critics and his biggest fans.
